Holiday? What holiday?
It's been a week since school ended, and just before the summer holidays were about to begin, I thought I could get a chance to slack and start watching Spongebob and Catscratch. But a week later, I find I'm more tired than when the exams were still on haha.
Well, the story goes that mom and bap left for Japan and so they needed me to look after the shop. This whole week I've had to wake up at 7am every morning to send David to work and then the errands begin. On top of that I've been trying to meet up with all my best pals before work starts on Tuesday with the Marketing Department at Tangs. I managed to confirm my internship there as well as the Marriott one I'll be doing when I come back from Vancouver. I'm honestly wondering if I should have put 3 major events so closely together.
Tommorrow is when the folks come back from Japan. I'm really tired and I've been taking Panadol to suppress the fever, but I think this week has been nice because I've got to spend time with David, Mikey and Mah Mah. Hopefully I can catch up on my rest this weekend and be in ship shape condition for my first day of work. Here's to the busiest holiday ever!

FRESHMAN NO MORE
Not long ago, I was sitting opposite Professor Dawn at the admissions interview, telling her how how I knew I would like SMU, and before I knew it, a year in school flew by and I was thanking her for being a great psychology teacher for my class. I can't believe how fast a year has flown by.
Just one year ago, I wasn't so happy with life. I had been bumming around for too long and I was waiting for some miracle to happen. And it did. SMU happened. This year has been filled with making some of my most treasured friendships. The friends I've made have encouraged me to push myself further in everything I do. They've come to be a support group that I've come to depend on to remember the important things in life.
In terms of school and work, I'm glad to say my grades are still fine and I'm working hard but at the same time not sacrificing any time for my friends and myself. I know many friends who have lost abit of their perspective with regards to finding balance, but I think it's all about prioritizing the important things in life. It's easy to get caught up with work and forget the other aspects of life. But I refuse to give in. Life is too short to be spent on work only. The crazy "sieze the day" part of me never lets me waste a moment of the day.
I've had so many opportunities this school year. It's really been amazing. I've grown as a person, and I am grateful for each experience. It's just the start of Summer, and already I've been voted into the floorball committee, planned 2 marketing internships at the Marriott Hotel and Tangs department store, and have a month long summer study trip to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. I'm probably going to be working all summer, but I feel happy. I've finally gotten my life back on track, and I feel like for the first time, I'm in charge of my own life now.
So cheers to a great year in school. My first year in school. The best year in school. Yet.

Better Than Better, Better and Better.
It was Monday yesterday, and a very good one in fact. In fact, lately, most days have been pretty good ones, if not for the fact that I have to get up early. And despite the fact that yesterday was a monday, I still enjoyed myself, which must mean that it was a very good Monday no doubt.
It was a good day because:
1. I got my SCV digital box for my room
2. I went to school
3. Susheela gave me an A for my presentation
4. I had subway for lunch
5. I had a Sun & Moon lunch (No.2) with my parents
6. I went to Ikea with my mom
7. We bought a sofa for our living room
8. I bought a photo frame
9. Dinner was nice
10. I met Alvin and Nick
11. We had good wanton mee at Old Airport Road
12. Mustafa was really fun
13. I finally took off my P-plate
14. I recorded some Cartoon Network while I slept
So, in all, a happy Monday. Tomorrow is Mom's Birthday so I think tomorrow will be a good day as well.
