HELLO SINGAPORE

It's a week and a half into my Summer Term at the University of British Columbia and time has really flown. At the same time, time creeps slowly somehow because the pace of life in Vancouver is much more relaxed and easy. It's all about the hello's and thank you's exchanged with strangers, the late sunsets and beautful mornings, the bustling city framed by picturesque mountains. It's really beautiful.

The lessons have been really interesting and my classmates have been fun. We went to Seattle last weekend and we had so much fun. I'm going Whitewater Rafting this Saturday and I hope that goes well. Foodwise has been okay. I've been cooking a ton of stir fried chicken haha and I've been running off the junk food by going for afternoon runs.

I love Vancouver. The folks here have been so warm and friendly. My stay here has reminded me to stop and enjoy the happy, simple things in life. Yesterday, me and my pals went to Granville Island for the afternoon after school. The sun was out. The view of the boats swaying in the water with seagulls overhead at the dock. A fantastic Fried Calamari lunch. And a really good maple syrup ice cream bar. A perfect afternoon ending with beers at the brewery with friends. I love Vancouver. And I know I'll miss it when I leave.
